Pre-History St Patrick Round Tower Viking Warrior Norman Soldier Dublin Castle King William Act of Union Famine Symbol Emigrant Ship GPO Border Domine Quo Vadis

The symbols are inspired by the panels of the Celtic high cross. Each period of Irish history is represented by a separate icon, from Saint Patrick and the Round Tower symbolizing early Christianity, to Viking Warriors, Norman Soldiers, King William and the Union Jack. The terrible potato famine is represented by a skeletal icon and the Emigrant Ship. Ireland's independence is marked by the G.P.O. and the Partition of the island.

A note from the designer, Michael Hilliar

History of Ireland rings purchased on this site are exclusively made for you by the original designer Michael David Hilliar. The rings are hand-made by Michael and much heavier than factory-made models found on other sites. A genuine Michael Hilliar original is stamped with his personal initials.
