Claddagh Wedding Rings

A centuries old Irish symbol of Love, Loyalty and Friendship

The traditinal motif of the Claddagh ring features a heart delicately encircled by hands, with a crown above the heart. This combination represents Love (the heart), Friendship (hands) and Loyalty (the crown).

The claddagh ring is named after the historic village of Claddagh, near Galway on the west coast of Ireland. Legend has it that a 17th century craftsman named Richard Joyce crafted the first claddagh ring as a gift to his beloved.
