Irish jewelry inspired by one of Ireland’s foremost treasures, the Ardagh Chalice. The chalice is widely regarded as the finest example of 8th Century metalwork ever discovered.
The Chalice was discovered in 1868 by two boys digging in a potato field in Ardagh, Co. Limerick. The large silver cup was assembled from 354 separate pieces. It is decorated with gold, brass, bronze, pewter and enamel.
The gold filigree band on the Chalice and the shield decorations form the basis of the design featured in our Celtic Warrior Wedding rings.
