Claddagh Rings for Men
The claddagh ring is traditionally associated with the Galway area and the Aran Islands, though they were also made elsewhere in Ireland from the early 18th century.
Originally worn by men and later by both sexes as a marriage token, the ring consists of a plain band with two hands holding a crowned heart. The hands represent both parties, the heart the seat of affection, and the crown perfection. In another interpretation, the Claddagh ring is said to represent Love (the heart), Loyalty (the crown) and Friendship (the hands).
