Why Buy Irish Jewelry?
Jewelry has been made in Ireland for 4,000 years. The skills and tradition of producing beautiful jewelry lives on today.  You will not find better value or quality of jewelry than that handmade in Ireland. All our Irish and Celtic jewelry is individually handcrafted by highly skilled craftsmen.  Irish jewelry is steeped in old irish tradition and culture.  Each design has it's own unigue meaning or representation as the Celts were often inspired by their strong emotions and natures' beauty.  They in turn mastered a creativity of wonderous beauty and skill, a talent passed on through the ages and generations. Irish jewelry is Irish tradition and culture at it's best. History of Irish Jewelry.

Your Guarantee of Quality:
Under Irish law dating back to 1637, in the reign of Charles I, all jewelry of precious metals must be assayed and stamped with the official hallmark - the traditional letter symbol for the year it was crafted, a fineness mark guaranteeing the purity of the gold, silver or platinum, and the official insignia of the Irish Assay Office in Dublin Castle.

Ireland is one of the few countries in the world that insists on every piece of jewelry being independently tested in this way.  For example this is not practice in the USA.

An assay is a test of the purity of metal. A tiny piece of metal is scraped from the piece of jewelry (e.g. inside of ring, back of pendant) and the percentage of gold, silver or platinum is determined. The ring is then stamped on the inside with the appropriate hallmark by the Assay Office. Your guarantee of quality.
