About This Piece

These gold cufflinks tell the story of Ireland's history through 12 symbols. The first symbol is St Patrick who is believed to be the person to bring Christianity to Ireland. The story continues with the Celts invading our shores, followed by the Normans.

Ireland suffered a famine in the 1840's due to the potato crop failing, this resulted in mass emigration to the USA as a result of this travesty. All of these symbols and more feature of the cufflinks.

The designer Michael Hilliar won an award for this unique design, the original piece was a bangle. After his success he began to make a whole range of History of Ireland jewelry.

Since his retirement 12 years ago these cufflinks are available exclusively from My Irish Jeweler.

The cufflinks are sturdy, strong and solid and would make the perfect wedding gift to give to the 'Groom' or 'Best Man'. They would also make a great gift for the stylish or well-dressed man.

A detailed booklet to explain all the symbols accompanies each piece and presented in a beautiful presentation box. Also available in 9k gold or Sterling Silver.
