This ring features the Irish Claddagh design... hands, heart and a crown, representing friendship, love and loyalty. First created in Ireland in the 1600s, the Irish Claddagh has traveled the world as a token of love and friendship for almost 400 years. The original expression which accompanied the Claddagh was "With these hands I give you my heart and I crown it with my love."
The ring has a very attractive highly polished finish to it. This is a heavy ring and weighs just over 2 times the weight of a standard plain gold band. The Claddagh motif of the hands, heart and crown and the Celtic knotworkd design are both repeated 4 times around the ring.
The ring measures 7 millimetres. For comfort order a half size bigger than your normal ring size.
