The High Cross is possibly the best known symbol of early Christianity in Ireland. The Crosses are self-contained monuments generally sculptured from sandstone, some are as high as twenty feet and their main characteristic feature is the circle connecting the arms. In many cases they also feature ornate carvings.
Actual size of the cross is 1 inch high, measured without including the piece that attaches to the chain, and 11/16 of an inch wide. The cross comes with an 18 inch chain.
