Three heart shaped green agate stones are held securely in a three pronged setting and are outlined by a sparkling CZ studded sterling silver shamrock in the necklace and matching earrings. These sparkling CZ hint at the ancient pagan roots of the Shamrock symbol making a subtle three armed Triskelion.
Famously adopted by St. Patrick to teach the Celts about the Holy Trinity, the three leaved shamrock was already a potent symbol in ancient Ireland with roots reaching back thousands of years to the iconic three-armed Triskelion. Today the Shamrock and its vibrant green colour are global symbols of Ireland recognised the world over and donned proudly every March 17th.
Agate adds another layer of meaning as it's a gemstone with a long history and symbolism. Prized by many ancient cultures for its protective powers, it's considered especially lucky. Believed to bring harmony, health, and protection, green agate continues to be worn by many today as an aide for concentration and balance between body and mind.
