This Sterling Silver handmade Celtic necklace is made by Irish designer Aidan Breen.
The necklace features a pierced or cut out design with the most beautiful soft flow of semi circles and interlocking Celtic pattern. The skill involved shows Aidan's extraordinary talent for finesse and delicacy. When a Goldsmith as talented as Aidan creates such stunning work, many pseudo designers try to imitate and copy his designs, however, once you feel the weight and quality of Aidan's work you are left in no doubt as to why his pieces are so sought after. Remember, quality prevails long after price has been forgotten. The necklace is solid and quite heavy, looks amazing over a chunky sweater. The Silver is polished to a very high sheen and will not go unnoticed on the wearer.
The design is inspired by Ireland's world-famous Book Of Kells, an 8th centuryl manuscript. It is housed in the library of Trinity College Dublin from the mid 19th century and attracts more than 500,000 visitors a year. It contains the four Gospels in Latin. Two volumes are normally on display, one opened to display a major decorated page and one to show two pages of script.
