This sterling silver cross is a real work of art with so many layers. Unusually, the Connemara marble stone has been faceted, which means the stone has been cut at minute angels to give a subtle shine and catch the light. The marble is recessed into a rub over setting. You will also notice the area behind beautiful Celtic design has been oxidised or blackened slightly, this has the effect of making the Celtic pattern really stand out. Beautifully crafted with precision.
This unique stone is found on the West Coast of Ireland. No two pieces of marble are alike, the colour varies from a deep moss or sage green to a pale yellow green, often mottled with flecks of white.
