This Sterling Silver ring is a 'real beauty' with a complex and highly decorative design. The inspiration is taken from one of Ireland's priceless treasures, the Ardagh Chalice, which was discovered in 1868, Co Limerick.
The filigree band on the original Ardagh Chalice has a series of shield decorations with minute intricate Celtic pattern. This design forms the basis of the ring and the pattern repeats around the entire band. As this band would be considered a real 'Man's' ring, we have made it extra wide with an a few interesting features. The pattern has been blackened, or oxidised to give it that 'lived in look'. The side trims are flattened to a very high polish, with one side having a 3.5mm trim and the opposite side a 1.7mm trim.
