About This Piece

These sterling silver Torc bangles are very popular in Ireland. A simple yet striking design. Dating back to the time of the Celts, the torc or torc was worn originally as a status symbol and as a reminder of your wealth and high rank in society.

The torc was a revered piece of jewellery worn in battles and other rituals. The design forms the shape of an open ended bangle with two solid beads on either side.

The bangles are pleasingly weighty, robust & durable, 4mm wide with a nice domed shaped that sits snugly on the wrist.

Standard medium wrist size 8 Inch & measures from left to right 3". Standard small wrist size 7.5 Inch & measures from left to right 2.75". To wear slide the bangle on to the wrist and not over the hand.

This is my new favorite bracelet! It is beautifully made and a perfect weight: substantial but not too heavy. It is so comfortable, too!
