About This Piece

The vikings came to Ireland in 795 and established cities like Dublin, Waterford and Limerick before their power waned in the 11th Century. This ornate Viking cross is a modern interpretation of the designs and motifs found in artefacts uncovered at the old viking settlement site at Wood Quay Dublin during the 1970's.

Crafted in fine sterling silver, the Cross has been oxidised giving it an old world charm. Intricate Serpentine patterns adorn the four points of the cross with an 18k bead at its centre. The golden bead is decorated with a shield motif that emulates designs that would have been worn in battle. With ornate milligrain beading dotted around the shield the combined effect is very striking and quite heavy in weight.

There are two sizes available and price includes a 20" sterling silver oxidised chain - all presented in a luxurious gift box.

Made and Hallmarked in Ireland at Dublin Castle just minutes from the site at Wood Quay that inspired their design.

This piece of Jewelry is absolutely exquisite! The packaging is beautiful, I couldn't be happier with both the artwork and the service.
