This gold ingot is made with great flair and attention to detail. An exquisite Celtic pattern features on the top right hand side with a delicate Celtic interlace pattern on the bottom. The use of different textures and finishes is very evident as the area behind the ogham writing has a sandblasting finish to accentuate the ogham writing.
The Ogham inscription is given a polished finish to stand out beautifully with the Celtic pattern. The Ingot has a nice weight and feel to it, the rectangular shape is really striking with the outer frame polished to a mirror sheen finish. no detail has been overlooked including the decorative celtic bale which holds the chain. The reverse of the ingot has the name of your choice written in english.
Ogham is the first known writing of the ancient Irish, each line represents a letter from the old Irish alphabet. In ancient times a persons name was carved into the stone to commemorate the passing of a loved one.
In modern times it is customary to have a persons name engraved in Ogham writing on the front of the Ingot. Another interesting feature is the writing is read from bottom to top. There are over 350 Ogham stones still standing in Ireland to this day.
A perfect choice of gift for the person who is interested in Irish culture and heritage.
Ingot is measured including the decorative bale.
