About This Piece

Sterling Silver drop earrings. This design has been inspired by the famous Ardagh Chalice found in 1868. The design forms the basis of shield decoration with an intricate filigree pattern.

The soft oval shape of the earrings allow the detail to be shown off to its full potential. A highly polished bead sits in the center of the earring with minute milligrain beading around the edge. Surrounding the bead is the intricate pattern that is 'Matt or Florentine' in appearance. The overall look is exquisite.

The earring fittings are very secure, they hook around the earlobe and snap shut. Earrings are measured excluding the fittings.

Matching Sterling Silver necklace available to complete the set.

Made in Ireland and hallmarked by the Dublin Assay Office (an independent Government body responsible for the quality control of precious metals).

These earrings are absolutely stunning. They hang snuggly from the earlobe and are light as a feather. The design is beautiful and the presentation box exceeded my expectation. These were bought for my friends 60th birthday and not only did she love them, I was quite envious!! I paid the additional cost for FedEx and they arrived in the blink of an eye, so that was one less worrisome thing off my list.
