About This Piece

A gold ingot necklace, custom made to order for you with your choice of word or name hand engraved in Ogham writing.

Read from the bottom up, Ogham is an ancient linear script, the first known written language of Ireland, thought to be thousands of years old. The Ogham alphabet consists of groups of lines set across a vertical "stem". Each group represents a different letter or sound in the gaelic language.

There are fine examples of ancient Ogham stones engraved with this enigmatic script still standing around Ireland and were often used to honor loved ones.

Continue this ancient tradition, with a piece of jewelry with your own ogham inscription - something truly unique and your own. Where space allows our master engraver can add a triskele, or tri-spiral, an ancient symbol carved in stone around Ireland, most famously at Newgrange, that dates back over 5000 years!
