This stunning necklace forms part of the collection from the Warrior Shield range. A most beautiful and intricate design taken from our famous Ardagh Chalice, believed to have been made in the late 8th century, accidentally found by two farmers digging for potatoes in Lough Gur Co Limerick . Today this famous treasure is on display in our national Museum in Dublin for all to admire.
The design forms the basis of shield decorations and filigree Celtic pattern throughout. The oval shape is very flattering, the center is set with a highly polished bead that draws your eye to the intricate design. The outer rim has a fine wire with dotted miligrain detail that encases the shield design.
This necklace is made in Ireland by exceptional goldsmiths who have perfected their craft to such a high level.
