This bracelet forms part of the renowned History Of Ireland collection. Over forty years ago Michael Hilliar won an award for a wide bangle with 12 Irish symbols.
The original bangle was extremely heavy and wide. A superb piece and ideal for the person who loves chunky heavy jewelry. This bracelet was designed to suit the person who prefers dainty jewelry.
The bracelet has 4 links with 3 symbols of Irish History on each link. The first symbol is St Patrick who is responsible for bringing Christianity to Ireland, and reputed to have banished snakes from our Island. Every symbol shows a different stage in Irish history, finishing with a question mark to indicate what the future holds.
Michael's design was often copied, but never replicated due to his superb workmanship and original content. It remains a very popular design today as it was forty years ago. A favorite design worn by many Irish people.
