This sterling silver necklace would be a favorite among Irish people. The chain on the necklace are made of very solid and heavy belcher links. Quality at its finest. The oval disc has a Celtic Cross in the center which was such a distinctive expression of Christianity.
Over forty years ago Michael Hilliar designed a range of jewelry with 12 Irish symbols. The images represent the most important stages of our Irish History.
Since his retirement 5 years ago, Michael's History of Ireland range of jewelry is ONLY available from My Irish Jeweler. Each piece is stamped by Michael's initials with a shamrock on the back as a guarantee of authenticity. Michael's work was often copied, but never rivalled.
St Patrick is the first symbol to appear on the disc and perhaps one of the most important. Our patron saint changed the course of history in the 5th century when he began his mission of converting Ireland to Christianity. The last symbol is the question mark to indicate what is the future or Quo Vadis.
A fabulous gift for the person who appreciates quality at its best. A detailed booklet comes with every piece with a very nice booklet. Available in 18" or 20"
The Oval Disc measures 1" across and 3/4" high.
