How Does My Irish Jeweler Contribute To The Broader Community?

Last Updated: May 20, 2024

My Irish Jeweler is a values-based organisation that not only respects our customers, but also our team, communities, collaborators and environment. These are the four pillars that we build on when we work to connect people with home and heritage through our fine jewellery that celebrates Irish identity.

We value our team

My Irish Jeweler is a small, family-run business. Our team are an incredible bunch, committed to providing our customers with outstanding service. We could not do what we do without their dedication. And very simply, a happy team makes for happy customers. So we aim to ensure that My Irish Jeweler is a workplace where every team member is respected, healthy, and has the education and expertise they need to achieve and grow. In short, we are an inclusive organisation committed to honesty, fairness, equality of opportunity, and diversity in our employment practices, policies, and procedures.

We value our community

At My Irish Jeweler, we believe in charitable giving. Our team actively engages in this process through monthly charitable donations allocated by staff. As a team, we also participate in local and national charitable initiatives throughout the year. As a company, we donated over 10% of our profits to charity in 2022, including 100% of our profits on Black Friday.

We value our environment

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact. We produce quality, timeless jewellery that can be worn for a lifetime and given as an heirloom to future generations so our customers can buy better and buy less. Many of our pieces are made to order, reducing waste in production and the majority of our pieces are made with recycled precious metals. Our natural diamonds are conflict-free, and we recently launched a lab-diamond ring range to give our customers more sustainable options.

We have transitioned to recyclable FSC® certified paper in our packaging. We have developed an Irish windfall timber box for our rings, and are developing minimal packaging options for our customers. We are working to offer more sustainable options across the board as an integral part of our company.

Since 2019, we have also supported Trees on the Land, who are working to restore Ireland's lost woodland and tree cover by planting native trees across the 32 counties of Ireland. Our partnership has resulted in the planting of +30,000 trees to date, returning trees treasured by our ancestors to the land.

We value our collaborators and suppliers

We have the great privilege to work with many talented artisans here in Ireland throughout the course of our work. We develop working relationships with our suppliers and collaborators built on trust and communal responsibility. We are committed to ensuring that the organisations and people we work with share our ethics and high standards.
