This triple Sterling Silver necklace forms part of the collection from the Warrior Shield range. The inspiration for this design is taken from our famous Ardagh Chalice, believed to have been made in the late 8th century, accidentally found by two farmers digging for potatoes in Lough Gur Co Limerick . Today this famous treasure is on display in our national Museum in Dublin for all to admire.
The design forms the basis of shield decorations. The centre is set with a larger shield, accompanied by two smaller shields on either side. The shields are heavily decorated with an intricate filigree pattern that sweeps around the entire shield. This necklace shows off without any shadow of doubt the skill and dedication our craftsmen have in perfecting this piece. No detail has been overlooked. The necklace sits perfectly on the neckline and the wearer will receive many a compliment.
Matching earrings and bracelet available to complete the set.
Made in Ireland .
The total length of the entire is 18". The chain parts add up to 16" with a further 2" of the centrepiece. 2 x 16.mm warrior shields with a 20mm shield in the centre.
