This is a very beautiful celtic cross set with Ireland's unique natural gemstone, connemara marble. Known as the 'Irish gemstone' the colour of this marble varies from a pale lime green to a deep sage or moss green with fine lines and fissures running throughout the stone. These features are not considered to be a fault. Indeed, it is what makes this stones so unique.
There are lots of layers to this cross with a glorious domed cabochon of marble set in the centre. Each of the four arms of the cross are embedded with a trinity knot in a slightly flared frame. The outer circle has been delicately oxidised with beaded detail to give it that old world feel. The cross has an elegant shape with wonderful balance and symmetry.
