Over 300 years ago, Irish people didn't have social media to share their relationship status, but they were able to do something similar with a Claddagh ring. Those in the know can tell a lot about someone by the way they wear their Claddagh ring! Looking for love?
If you want to tell people that you are single and looking for love, your would wear your Claddagh ring on the right hand with the heart pointing outward.
Is your heart promised to someone?
If you are in a relationship and are not open to other offers, you would wear your Claddagh ring on the right hand with the heart pointing in to the body. This makes the Claddagh a perfect Promise Ring.
Are you engaged?
If things are more serious still, you might wear your Claddagh ring on the left hand with the heart pointing out from the body to declare you are engaged. Are you married?
