About This Piece

This Sterling Silver ingot is made with great flair and innovation. The inner frame is oxidised to highlight the Ogham writing. An exquisite Celitc pattern features on the top right hand side with a delicate Celtic pattern on the bottom.

Ogham is the first known writing of the ancient Irish, each group of lines represents a letter from the old Irish alphabet and the writing is read from bottom to top.

The Ogham inscription is given a polished finish to stand out beautifully with the Celtic pattern. The Ingot has a nice weight and feel to it, the rectangular shape is really striking with the outer trims polished to a mirror finish. The inner frame is darkened with oxidisation and has an unusual mottled appearance. This is not to be considered a flaw, indeed, it is part of the charm of this sensational piece.

There are over 350 Ogham stones still standing in Ireland today. This is a really interesting piece of jewellery and will be much talked about. Made in Ireland and presented in a beautiful presentation box.
