About This Piece

Sterling silver bracelet we have chosen the endearment Mo Anam Cara, meaning my soul mate, written in the ancient Irish writing called Ogham. The bracelet is a standard 8 1/2 inch length.

Ancient Irish Script

Ogham writing is an ancient linear script and is the first known written language of Ireland. The Ogham alphabet consists of groups of lines from one to five, set across a vertical stem-line. Each group represents a different letter of the alphabet.There are fine examples of Ogham stones scattered around Ireland. They were initially used on stones to commemorate the passing of a loved one. This tradition is still used today, however many people just love the history attached and have their own name engraved or a loved one's name.

Newgrange Spiral

In keeping with Irish tradition we have added the famous NewGrange spiral. NewGrange is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site over 5000 years old, located in Co. Meath. The links on the bracelet are flat with chamfered edges creating sharp sleek lines, ensuring the bracelet sit very comfortably on the wrist with a nice trigger clasp for security. This bracelet is custom made to order, incredibly unique and different, making for a strong conversation piece to remind you of your Irish heritage and culture.

I was skeptical. Ordered the Sterling Silver Ogham Mo Anam Cara Bracelet on December 18 as a Christmas gift for my husband. The box arrived damaged on December 21. Reached out expressing my concern. The owner of My Irish Jeweler, Ciarán and Vicky from customer service responded immediately and forwarded a replacement bracelet. I still don’t know how they did it, but it arrived on time for Christmas. My husband loved the Irish themed bracelet. It is absolutely beautiful both in design and craftsmanship. Cannot wait to order my next piece of jewelry from this company. Highly recommend.
