This Sterling Silver Celtic Cross is set with a nice combination of Connemara Marble and Marcasite stones. Connemara Marble is a natural stone found in the West of Ireland. This stone is very hard wearing and resistant to staining. The colour varies from a pale lime green to a deep sage green, with the addition of what appears to be visual hair line cracks and fissures running throughout. This is not to be considered a fault, indeed, it's what makes this stone so unique.
Marcasite stones have a grayish or yellow hue, with a subtle sparkle. It dates back to ancient times and was believed to protect the wearer from negative energy. Our skilled craftsmen have used both of these stones in this cross with fantastic results. The cross has a very good shape and proportions, the cross shimmers delicately with every movement whilst on the neck. Irish people have a great fondness for wearing Celtic Cross and are worn equally by men and women.
