About This Piece

This stunning brooch forms part of the collection from the Warrior Shield range. The design is inspired by the battle armour of our ancient ancestors and the intricate metalwork of the famous Ardagh Chalice housed in the National Museum. This chalice is considered the finest example of 8th century metalwork ever to come to light.

The design forms the basis of shield decorations and filigree Celtic pattern throughout. Stylish and elegant, drawing inspiration from Ireland's rich past and culture, this piece is finished with exquisite attention to detail.

The two tone metal design is versatile combining fine sterling silver with a lavish, decorative bead made of 18k gold taking pride of place in the centre of the design.
