This Sterling Silver brooch is handmade by master Irish silversmith, Aidan Breen. As a young man Aidan was fascinated with the treasures on display at the National Museum. His designs are based on ancient Irish artifacts such as the Book of Kells, a masterpiece of Celtic art decorated with intricate designs.
This design features three interlaced and ornate dogs - a motif that features repeatedly in the illustrations of the Book Of Kells. Aidan's attention to detail is outstanding and this brooch is made with great craft. This is a stunning piece to wear on the lapel of a jacket or a heavy sweater. The Celtic 3 dog hound is watchful, protective and ever-loyal.
