Spring style - Five jewellery trends that will see you through 2024 and beyond

Written by Gemma Butler on Apr 03, 2024 | 2 Comments

We are not quite sure why, but we find ourselves looking to liven up our style in spring. We suppose everyone likes to look their best - especially stepping out from the dark days of winter!

We’ve zeroed in on five stylish jewellery trends for spring that will see you through 2024 and beyond. Striking the perfect balance between timeless and on trend, these are jewellery box staples that you can return to again and again to put the prefect finishing touch on a stylish look.

1. Vibrant Gemstones

Nothing says spring like a vibrant pop of colour. And vibrant gemstones are a stylish choice for 2024 - and beyond. A lively green emerald, pretty purple amethyst or the sharp tones of peridot are all perfect choices to bring a tasteful splash of colour to your look this spring.

Can’t settle on one colour? You can always go for a piece that combines them for maximum impact.

    2. Statement Cuff

Beloved by our ancient ancestors here in Ireland, 2023 jewellery style was all about bangles. In 2024, bangles are still going strong and are bigger than ever with the statement cuff gracing all the most stylish arms. Large and striking cuff bangles are being paired with everything from sharp suits in the boardroom, to laid back weekend looks. Turns out the Celts were real trendsetters on this one! These impactful designs are sure to start a conversation.

    3. Layered necklaces

The layered necklace look is another strong jewellery style statement that has been around for a few years but shows no signs of letting up. From street style to the Oscars red carpet, layered necklaces are everywhere you look and are being sported by men and women alike.

We love this trend for the space it creates for individuals to show their style, pairing treasured pieces from their jewellery collection for lots of different looks, mixing metals, chain weights or lengths for something unique and personal. Not sure where to start? Despite what some might tell you there are no rules with layering. Mix and match what you like and have fun with it. And "Hero" pendants like the ones above are a great place to start.

      4. Dark and moody jewlery

Perhaps it’s the contrast to the light and bright styles that typically go hand in hand with spring that saw this trend take off. Darkend metal, antique finishes, and moody gemstones were all over the catwalk this spring and are another style that is predicted to last long beyond 2024. Dark gemstones like sapphire or onyx, black enamel, and oxidisation are all ways to achieve this edgy look.

        5. Heavy Metal

Last but certainly not least, we have our final trend for 2024 - heavy metal! Not the music but rather weighty pieces. And specifically silver! It’s not just the cuff bangles that are big this spring. Chunky silver earrings, pendants and rings are style statements that seem to be universal at the moment. We love big and beautiful sterling silver pieces for making an instant impact.
